Clive Thomas
Managing Director of Watkins & Gunn, Solicitor and Head of Personal Injury.
Clive has over 30 years experience of all aspects of personal injury with a particular emphasis on employers’ liability cases, complex multi-track cases including fatal accidents and brain injury cases. Jonathan Wellington
Director and Head of Clinical Negligence
Jonathan is a Director at Watkins & Gunn, Head of Clinical Negligence.
He is a highly regarded personal injury and clinical negligence lawyer. He is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel as well as being a fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
Jonathan has also dealt with numerous high value personal injury cases and a £5 million+ clinical negligence case for a girl left with severe brain damage following a failure to diagnose meningitis.
Garry Dickinson
Consultant
Garry joined Watkins & Gunn as a Consultant in 2024. He has previously worked for the Health Authority dealing with accidents at work and clinical negligence cases. He then moved over to specialise in working for Trade Unions and private clients. He has represented NALGO, COHSE, SOGAT, NALGO, Community Union, GMB and Furniture, Timber and Allied Trades. Garry has dealt with complex multi-track cases to include fatal accidents.
He has been heavily involved in professional sports, acting for footballers, football managers, teams, boxers and Olympic athletes.
He has been the Lawyer for the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey team for the last 25 years, representing the club, players and supporters. He acted for two high profile footballers who were involved in career ending injuries, one involving Tottenham Hotspur.
Garry has also dealt with transfers between football players and clubs and for football clubs. He has also handled contract negotiations.
Sara Jones
Solicitor
Sara is a Solicitor in the Personal Injury Team at Watkins & Gunn.
Sara is very experienced in her field, having initially gained 7 years experience as a paralegal dealing with personal injury claims prior to qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2017. Sara since cross-qualified as a Solicitor in 2018 and has gained a lot of significant experience in civil litigation matters.
Ffion-Shan Warren
CILEX Paralegal
Ffion is a CILEX Paralegal in our Personal Injury Team and is supervised by Team Head, Clive Thomas.
She joined Watkins & Gunn in 2022 and qualified as a CILEX Paralegal in August 2024.
